Technical Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Software

PETRAX is built using the 2.0 release of the Microsoft® .NET Framework.

To run the framework, you must have one of the following operating systems with Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0 or later installed on your computer:

  • Microsoft® Windows XP (Home or Professional)
  • Microsoft® Windows Server 2003 family
  • Microsoft® Windows Vista 32-bit
  • Microsoft® Windows Vista 64-bit
  • Microsoft® Windows 7 32-bit
  • Microsoft® Windows 7 64-bit

PETRAX will run on the following Microsoft Windows operating systems, however it is not supported by Petrax Software.

  • Microsoft® Windows 98
  • Microsoft® Windows 98 Second Edition
  • Microsoft® Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me)
  • Microsoft® Windows 2000 (Professional, Server, or Advanced Server) with the latest Windows service pack and critical updates available from the Microsoft Security Web site.

Hardware

Minimum hardware requirements:

  • Pentium 2.0 GHz or higher, 1 GB RAM, 100 MB free disk space

Recommended hardware requirements:

  • Pentium 3.0 GHz or higher, 2 GB RAM, 150 MB free disk space

Mac OS

PETRAX will only run on Mac in a windows virtual environment.
We have a number of users who successfully run PETRAX via VM Fusion (from VMWare) or with Parallels

Please Note:  We provide the regular level of support for PETRAX when run on a Mac via Virtual Windows, but we cannot provide support for the installation and operation of the virtual software engine or the Mac Operating system.
